Our Solution to Stopping Parental Alienation of Children

The subject of PA/PAS has invited serious disagreements among professionals. There exists a climate of mistrust and misinformation on the part of those people who are appealed to help these troubled families. Opportunities to exacerbate the situation, rather than improve upon it, lie in the enormous difficulties of deciding what to do to protect children from one of the most heinous forms of child abuse and neglect known. We believe that education is the key to making informed decisions. When people know better, they do better.

We propose producing a documentary entitled, "Stop Parental Alienation of Children" for the purpose of raising awareness and educating professionals and laypeople on the subject of "parental alienation" (PA) and "parental alienation syndrome" (PAS).

We believe that the SPAC documentary will be an educational tool to help family law attorneys, therapists, evaluators, judges, and laypeople in sorting out what to do about a seriously broken family system.

To this end, we have already raised $15,000 to take a crew to the Children’s Rights Council conference in Washington D.C. (November 2006). We interviewed 21 people and acquired 15 hours of footage.

We estimate that the documentary will cost about $250,000. We are pleased with our beginning and invite individuals who have the means to help us produce and pay for this documentary to become involved.
